Main Projects:

Unraveling Bioaerosol Origins and Transmission through Bioinformatics

This research is centered on utilizing sequencing techniques and bioinformatics to elucidate the origins and pathways of bioaerosols. By analyzing changes in concentration and species composition, we aim to identify key processes that influence the generation of bioaerosols.

Assessing the Environmental Effects of Stranded Sargassum on Water, Beaches, and Air Quality

This study aims to provide a thorough assessment of the impact of stranded Sargassum on coastal regions, with a particular focus on sulfur-containing gases (H2S, SO2, and DMS), aerosols, and the presence of harmful bioaerosols resulting from Sargassum decomposition.

Measuring Landfill Methane Emissions Using Affordable Methane Sensors:

This research is focused on quantifying methane emissions from landfills using cost-effective methane sensors as a central element. We aim to characterize commercial sensors suitable for near-ambient level measurements, which will subsequently be deployed to monitor methane emissions in landfill environments.
